We celebrated Audrey's first birthday on Sunday, the 4th! A whirlwind is the only way that we can describe this past year and we can't believe that our baby is such a big girl! She is such a special girl, so cuddly and sweet. And, wise beyond her year, so intuitive and aware of everything. Our pediatrician said that she has the vocabulary of most 2 year olds! When Ella turned one, we were so excited for each milestone and advancement, maybe because we already knew that Audrey was on the way, but with Audrey, I just want to hold her and treat her like a baby for so much longer! We had a family party with Grandma and Grandpop Geric, who could not believe how much she has changed since the last time they were in town mid-August! Eating her first piece of cake was a big hit. She was tentative at first, poking at the icing and licking her fingers, but soon the whole piece was in hand and she was going to town! We couldn't be more happy and proud of our little lady!
