Weekend Recap!
Last week was the big TPC golf Tournament in Sawgrass. What an event!! Beginning Monday, the crowds rolled in and the traffic piled. The course is only a mile from Ella's preschool, so we had to take alternative routes. In honor of the tournament, Adam and Michelle came in town Friday night. Chris spent the day on the course Friday with Jeff (neighbor) and he and Adam, along with Perce and others made their way early Saturday morning. He called it Disney World! We had initially planned to have a girls day at the spa while the gentlemen were at golf, but being that it was Mother's Day weekend and there were a million extras in town, there were literally no appointments available. So, Michelle and I made plans of our own. We took the girls on a walk to the park in the morning and after Holly arrived at noon, we hopped on our beach cruisers and biked up and down jax beach. We stopped in a few cute shops and ended up having lunch at an adorable Tea House a few streets north that I never knew of. After tea, sandwiches, fruit, and mini desserts, we headed to Christina's for their post golf party..... TPC (Tidwell Pool Celebration, as they called it!) The frozen margarita machine and fajitas from Sierra Grill added fun to the mix. As we wrapped up the night, Chris claimed to be on his deathbed with pneumonia (still couldn't kick the sickies from weeks past)....... I thought it was just because they had started drinking on the course at 10 am, but after a Dr. visit on Sunday, it turns out he has severe bronchitis - poor thing! He's been trying to get some extra rest, which is hard to come by, especially since he begins at his new practice on Monday! Sunday was a mellow Mother's Day. Thankfully Chris was able to see the doctor, we rested, and in the late afternoon I had a date with Laura to see Made of Honor, dinner and drinks. A slightly unconventional Mother's Day, but much enjoyed. Next to tap, prepping daddy for the new job!!!!
