Big Girl Bed!

We spent this weekend transforming Audrey's room into a "big girl" room! Bye, Bye to the crib! She couldn't be more excited about her big bed, a full size, and her new cozy bedding and all of the pillows. She repeatedly tells Ella "my bed is big and fancy and yours is small (a twin) and plain".....not very nice, but at least she likes it! No problem with the transition so far. I didn't put bed rails up am hoping to avoid any fall-outs with propping pillows around for the time being. The wall color may have to be changed in the future, as it is a bit shocking.......flamingo dream. She has shoulder high white beadboard in the room and then we put this really bright pinky/melon on top. Jury's still out. I was trying to copy a page from a magazine, so we'll see if grows on me.
We are still trying to get to the bottom of Audrey's chronic cough when she gets sick, so we were at the Allergist this morning. He thinks it may be asthma with a combo of a few other things. Poor baby was treated as a pin cushion this morning. They just couldn't find a vein in her petite little arm. We're now resting and watching Annie until it's time to get Ella. Annie's songs are still the most requested show and they belt them out like crazy. Chris had them dancing and singing along to Jay-Z's "It's a hard knock life" on Sunday. It was HILARIOUS!
I ordered the Annie, Mary Poppins and Little Mermaid soundtracks for Ella's birthday. I know they'll be a big hit! Party is this Saturday! Very excited!
