Nothing like posting Christmas in March, but as I always say, better late than never. I keep wondering if with age and wisdom there will be a decrease in procrastination and "back burner-ing" things, but it doesn't seem to be the case. The whole Geric clan (minus the Scott family) joined us for a wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas Day "last" year. The troops filed in a few days before and it was great to catch up, as usual. The hustle bustle of hosting, cooking, getting gifts ready, etc. was unusually stress free this time around and everyone pitched in to make it wonderful. The girls had an exciting Christmas eve, as they were allowed to open all of their gifts from Aunts, Uncles, and Grandparents and anxiously prepared for Santa's arrival.

Here we are taking our tray of cookies, milk, and celery for Santa and the reindeer. Ella seemed a bit skeptical this year, asking if Santa was really real and then stated "I don't get it" when I explained for the millionth time that his sled flies to all of the homes from the North Pole.

The grown-ups did a white elephant gift exchange this year and it was fun and LOUD, as always. The big hit (again) were the gator tumblers! I'm sure they'll make their appearance again next year!!
